The Shamokin Fire Bureau is a volunteer organization overseen by Director Barry Kehler and Fire Chief Lester Yohe. The bureau is comprised of five fire companies and an Emergency/Rescue Squad. The director and fire chief coordinate the city's emergency management plan and ensure the fire bureau's fleet is fully operational and capable of responding to any emergency situation in a moment's notice.
